I absolutely adored the aesthetic of Astana!
Actually, it was officially renamed Nur-Sultan since I visited but I`m going to keep nostalgically referring to it as Astana to not mess up the above alliteration.
Kazakhstan`s capital stands in unique contrast to the rest of the country thanks to its heavy adornment of modern architecture.
The city had a spacious and clean ambiance unlike any other city I had visited.
The designs felt somewhat futuristic and gave me vibes of "The Jetsons"
Main buildings were artistically aligned with mesmerizing symmetry.
Many of the buildings had untypical varieties of shapes, such as this egg shaped one;
Across the street was the building with a rectangle shaped hole in it!
And cubicle shaped punctures along one of its edges..
Nestled between that building and the egg is Astana's iconic tower;
and it lights up at night with music,
The view from inside the tower was pretty cool too,
I couldn't leave Astana without a little crabwalking.
Astana had nice green spaces as well;
Even inside the mall was cool looking.
Thanks for reading.
